Yuvish Singh, a promising Canadian golf talent, is raising money
for UNICEF through his own fundraising initiative, Birdies for the
Children. Yuvish will donate $20 to UNICEF every time he makes a
birdie and $50 for every eagle....

this year. He said he will donate $20 to UNICEF for each birdie
and $50 for each eagle during this season. He announced recently
that with his 24th birdie, he has donated $480 to UNICEF...

AWARDS:
In February
7th, 2007 the Mayor of the City of Brampton, Susan Fennell presented
Singh with the city’s prestigious Sports Achievement Award.
Dr. Ruby Dallah, member of parliament awarded him with a Certificate
from the House of Commons recognizing his golfing achievement. Premier
of Ontario, Dalton McGuinty presented him with a Certificate in
recognition of his golf achievement.
2007
CHAMPIONS DINNER PARTY AND FUNDRAISER:
On March 17th
2007, he hosted his first Champions Dinner Party and Fundraiser
in Brampton. The event was attended by approximately 100 guests.
He received a standing ovation when he addressed the crowd, launching
his “Birdies for the Children” fundraising campaign
and his partnership with UNICEF Canada. He challenged himself to
donate $20 for every birdie and $50 for every eagle he made on tour.
To jumpstart the campaign Yuvish presented a cheque for $300 to
UNICEF Canada. He made 15 birdies in the 2006 junior golf tour.
He will host an annual dinner and a fundraiser for the benefit of
UNICEF. At this event he will present a cheque for all the birdies
he made during that golfing season. He hopes to take his idea to
every golf tournament he plays and plans on speaking about the “birdies
for the children” campaign worldwide. Yuvish plans on visiting
prominent golf clubs around the world in order to promote his campaign
and work of UNICEF.
