Welcome to my Birdies for the Children web site. Over the past 3 years my dad and I drove from Canada to the USA for thousands of kilometers so that I could play in golf tournaments. During this time I had discussions with by dad about using my golf in a way that would benefit disadvantaged children around the world. And that is how the Birdies for the Children Fundraising Campaign began. It has added a whole new meaning to my golf game. The idea is simple; I will donate $20 for each birdie and $50 for each eagle I make on tour, to UNICEF Canada.

I am fortunate that I am able to play golf, but many children are not so fortunate. For them each day is a struggle. Millions of children go to bed hungry each night. It shocks me that each year 9.7 million children die even before they are 5 years old. War and poverty have denied them their basic human right, the right to life.

My parents have taught me to always share and help those that are in need. I launched my Birdies for the Children Fundraising Campaign, on March 17th, 2007 at the Champions Dinner Party and Fundraiser which was held in Brampton, Ontario. I donated $300 to UNICEF Canada for the 15 birdies I made in the 2006 junior tour. My guests contributed $2300 to UNICEF.
